Crea Futuro

The Creafuturo (Create the future) website is the first “One Verizon” initiative from both the Verizon Telecom and Wireless sides of the business. The campaign aims to bring general awareness of Verizon goodwill programs so that users will take advantage of the offerings to create betterments in their community. We featured some of the country’s most heart-filled and technological solutions that groups of people developed to improve the lives of others and the community around them.

Challenge:

  • Inspire a community of innovation and progress utilizing Verizon goodwill programs.

Solution:

  • Create documentaries that showcase individual and community efforts to better lives and places in their region.
  • Provide social aggregation for each documentary to show how the community is reacting to each goodwill effort.
  • Creafuturo.com was used to house all the documentaries and social communications over all channels.

Results:

  • 370k users visited the page during the campaign
  • 15.5% of those users came back to consume more content
  • Each user averaged almost 6 interactions per visit
  • 30% of users converted on the primary campaign objective

My Roles

During this project I performed the User Experience (UX) during the planning phases and programming guidance to the lead developer during the build phases. I also assisted in cross-browser testing and debugging the code. Some unique UX techniques implemented in this project was to keep the landing page area always fresh with new content. To achieve this result we made sure that on every page load random content from a bank of available content segments were rendered to the user’s browser. Every time the user came to visit the page there was always something new to consume. I also worked with the Verizon IT department to implement the domain name forward with masking.
