This site was built for the city of Phoenix and the NCAA to promote and inform attendees about the events and facilities surrounding the 2017 Final Four in Houston. It is a 9 page site that features modern, modular responsive design built in WordPress.
This was our second awarded Final Four website, based on the high level of client satisfaction from the site we built the year before. The site design structure worked so well for digital executions that the design style was placed into email communications which resulted in fantastic open and interaction rate.
One challenge during this build was to create a design that works for web based on brand guideline that were very specifically designed for print pieces. To solve for the problem we handled the layered angled elements within the rectangular content regions of the page, and then removed them for mobile views.
My Role
I worked with the Houston NCAA Final Four Host Committee to gain the business for building the website. I created the estimate and timeline, as well as handled the brief and negotiation with the client for the design and build of the site. Once we were approved for the business, I then directed the design and build. I also helped ensure required assets were transferred for development in a timely manner.
